At Kingsland Family Dental Care, we offer a variety of denture solutions for patients with missing teeth, such as traditional, immediate, partial dentures, as well as denture relines. Dentures are a replacement for missing teeth that can be removed from your mouth. Dentures consist of a plate or frame that holds one or more artificial teeth in place.
Full Dentures are the most common dentures made. A full denture can be created to fit either the upper arch, lower arch, or both. The upper denture has a pink denture base that extends to the roof of the mouth to create suction and help keep the denture in place. The lower denture is u-shaped and is designed to fit snugly along the bottom ridge of the jaw.
The term “false teeth” often concerns a lot of people. However, Dr. Alissa Khartchenko or Dr. Diane Escaravage take the necessary steps to ensure that your dentures look as natural as possible. Dentures have come a long way over the years — they look incredibly natural, and since missing teeth tend to cause a loss of support for your lips, cheeks, and facial muscles, your new full denture fills out the shape of your face and instantly improve your smile and help you look younger.
It usually takes a little while to get used to wearing a full denture. There may also be minor adjustments that your Kingsland dentist will make to fine tune your denture’s fit. Many patients adapt to wearing a full denture after a few weeks.
